Kimberley Dawn

Kimberley Dawn's soulful voice and engaging lyrics garnered a faithful following with the release of her first album "Lily" in 2000, inspired by her late Grandma.
Kimberley's infectious personality allows her to uniquely connect with each individual audience member when she performs, touching teens, adults, women and men alike...of all ages. Her uplifting, pop¬country style and love for performing comes across at diverse engagements, from community events, festivals, healing conferences to Skydome¬size spectacles.
"This vivacious voluptuous versatile vixen has one of the most heart rending vocalizations in the music industry today", said the Thunder Voice News of this rising talent.

Based in Winnipeg and the eldest of three from a Metis family, Kimberly's passion for singing has been evident since childhood. (She first graced the stage at age four at the Winnipeg Folk Festival.) The success of "Lily" reinforced her gift, and she proceeded to record "I'm Going Home", her second album, written by Billy Simard and produced by Craig Fotheringham. "I'm Going Home" was honored with the prestigious CBC Galaxy Rising Star Award at the 2003 Aboriginal Music Awards.
The Winnipeg Sun said of "I'm Going Home," "Home is where the heart break is for singer Kimberley Dawn.

With a big voice equally capable of belting out gritty blues or selling melancholy melodies Dawn delivers 10 slices of twangy roots rockers last call balladry and heartfelt passion in the vein of early Jan Arden."
"Healing Jane" her third album, produced with dear friend Jane Chartrand won "Best Produced Album" at the 2004 Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards and was selected as a finalist for "Best Aboriginal Album" at the 2005 Indian Summer Music Awards which takes place in Milwaukee.

She also won Song Single of the Year at the 2005 Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards. In addition, "Healing Jane" was selected as a Finalist for Best Aboriginal Album at the 2005 Western Canadian Music Awards.
In 2006, "I'm Going Home" was chosen as a finalist for Best Country Album at the Indian Summer Music Awards, and her unforgettable Video "One by One" was honoured with a Best Video nomination at the Aboriginal Peoples' Choice Music Awards in November 2006.
