DeRic Starlight - Performer, artist, comedian, and puppeteer is of Dene and Blackfoot decent and a treaty member of the Tsuu T’ina First Nation Treaty.He is 28 years of age and currently resides in Edmonton, Alberta.Employed full time as an artistic performer, entertaining audiences young and old.The puppets are aboriginal characters that DeRic has created.His influence came from his idol and mentor Jim Henson of The Muppets™.
DeRic is an artist/performer who currently entertains audiences with over 500 voices and the use of his magnificent puppets at various schools, award functions, healing ceremonies and other entertainment venues.DeRic is comfortable in front of an audience having performed at over 100 shows in the first five years of his career.Now with the help of his agent he has performed over 1020 shows in the last three years.During his career performing to audiences ranging anywhere from 30-15,000 people.DeRic has traveled across country from east to west cost to give performances with his puppets but now feels it is time to expand his audience and reach more children.
